Rheinbrücke Emmerich

Rheinbrücke Emmerich crosses the River Rhine between Kleve and Emmerich. The road bridge has two lanes and hard shoulders and two footpaths and is part of the B220. At a length of 803m, it is the longest suspension bridge in Germany. The cables are hung on two pylons of 76m each. At these cables, ropes are fixed at 15m intervals, which bear the steel structure of a width of 22.5m. The bridge has a span of 500m, the largest in Germany. The foreshore bridge on the Rhine’s left bank is a PC structure of 385m in length.
