Wasserturm Bommerholz

Originally, this site had featured a wind mill. In 1910, the 28m tall water tower with its expressionist elements was erected.
At that time, its futuristic and modern design was of special significance in terms of industrial buildings. Its capacity was 150 cubic metres, but in 1977 it was expanded by Stadtwerke Witten (municipal utility).
Since that modification, however, the tower can no longer be climbed to have a panoramic view. It is still in use as a water tower, supplying Bommern.
