The “Looper“ office building in Duisburg’s inner port (Innenhafen) stretches across five office floors with a floor space of a total of 16,000 sq m and two underground parking levels.
With the oval shape, surrounding a lavish atrium, the Bahl + Partner firm created a characteristic solitary building.
The building’s entrance hall is situated at the main artery of Duisburg’s inner port. The office floors and the two parking levels are accessed through three entrances. The offices are individual, ground plan or group offices, well connected and making for a quiet work environment.
A special design element of the new building is the vegetated oval inner courtyard for the staff during their breaks etc. The design of the lavish, two-storey atrium was particularly important. A s special design element, the former departure/arrival board of Düsseldorf airport has been integrated.
