The new building of the company HQ of Ströer Out-of-Home Media AG wanted to translate the advertising company’s identity into the new HQ’s architecture as well. Situated in an area rather diffuse in terms of an urban identity, the ensemble of buildings is a real landmark.
The ensemble more or less consists of three buildings: a massive office block with an off-lying “red hoarding”, an ellipsoidal glazed structure for meetings and the boardroom and a central transparent lobby, which also serves as a link.
The office block is broken down by horizontal window bands and contrasts with the free shape of the head building, which in its outer shell is cased by filigree aluminium lamellas. Thus, the full transparency can be experienced from the inside, while from the outside the prominent shape of the structure is shown to its fullest advantage.
Particularly at night, the advertising company’s identity in terms of colours is presented by targeted light effects in a striking fashion.
